世界では今も、戦争や紛争により、命や暮らし、そして「学ぶ機会」を奪われている人々がいます。そうした現実を前に、私たちは何を知り、どう考え、探究活動に取り組むことができるのか。

市邨高校ユネスコ平和教育推進部（校務分掌）では、ユネスコの理念に基づき、
戦争や対立が「人の心の中から生まれる」という事実に向き合いながら、平和について学ぶ時間を大切にしています。

中日新聞では、ユネスコの歴史や役割、そして「心の中に平和の砦を築く」という言葉を手がかりに、生徒たちが世界の現状と向き合った、野口昇先生の授業の様子を紹介していただきました。

この学びが、すぐに世界を変えることはできなくても、
一人ひとりが現実を知り、考え続けることが、
未来の平和につながると信じています。

Even today, wars and conflicts around the world continue to take lives, destroy communities, and deprive many people—especially children—of their right to learn.

In response to this reality, we ask ourselves:
What should we know? How should we think? And how can we act?

Guided by UNESCO’s principles, our students are learning that wars begin in the minds of people, and that peace must also be built there.
The article introduces a learning session where students reflected on UNESCO’s role and the meaning of “building a fortress of peace in our hearts.”

This learning alone cannot stop conflict.
But by facing the reality of the world and continuing to think, listen, and learn,
we believe each step matters toward a more peaceful future.
